the day my dreams came true...

*sighs*

i still can't get over last night's taping of the daily show with JON STEWART. our eyes met across the room.

his said "wtf" and mine said "i'm yours."

haha. but true. let me give you the detailed version.

i have a few celebrity crushes. most notably: george clooney (cmon. the guy just seems DAMN cool and charming and likely fun to hang out with), adrian grenier (cause really, how HOT is he?) and jon stewart (my complete package of a man--except for his height and the fact that he's married with children).

so to be able to go to this really was--intensely euphoric for me.

anyhow, after getting there around 3:30pm and standing in line for what seemed like HOURS--well it was--like 2.5 hours outside in the cold--we finally got to go in after the helper peeps came out and gave us the usual "no cell phones, cameras, asking for autographs or hugs" speech. we went through a metal detector and were then shown to our seats. upon sitting--music started playing--getting louder and louder until it was near deafening. i think it was to rev us up and to ensure that we were so deaf we wouldn't realize how hard we were laughing or screaming--so it was that much louder!

then a comedian came out and interacted with us for awhile. the guy was HILARIOUS. he's playing somewhere in baltimore in a few weeks for anyone in that area. he was really good. he was the hype guy. telling us we had to laugh extra loud and all that stuff so that the audience at home could hear it. after watching the show--i'd have to say we did a pretty darn good job. i don't remember watching an episode where it was quite so loud. :) but i am a boaster.

then...the love of my life...the father of some other whore's children (no i'm sure she's not a whore)...came out to interact with us abit. after that...the show began.

for those who have seen it--there's a segment with "baby new year" and in the original taping--jason jones says "2005." so they had to re-record and dub in "2009." that was rather interesting. they played back everything he said before that--and then he'd re-say it. kind of cool actually.

i was laughing most of the time. even better live i swear. anyhow, after the show was over--jon came over to interact with us a little bit more. and he asked where everyone was from. coincidentally--about 9 different groups of people yelled out australia and were all surprised. i think they should all have gotten together for drinks afterwards.

anyhow--i NEEDED to do something to get jon's attention--could be my one chance. probably is my one chance--so i yelled out...

"LAOS!!!!"

he does this adorable double take and looked at me like...(please refer back to the beginning of the post).

my one chance to snare jon stewart. and i only managed to induce a comical facial contortion.

but i'll take it!

BEST NEWS EVER!!!

i don't use caps very often. but for this--i must. i have just scored the tickets of a lifetime. no joke. complete fluke as well.

one of my best friends, abram, is going to come and visit me in a couple of weeks. and we were talking and figuring out what to do. and last night, while heading from dinner (shabu) to watch the curious case of benjamin button (REALLY GOOD) with joy and mark we were talking about what shows we wanted to see. so purely coincidental, one of the best things to do--and free--so cheap as well--is to try and attend tapings of shows. well. my DREAM has always been to go to 2 shows--

i have checked the sites periodically--maybe once a month to see if there are any changes in the BOOKED FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR OUT status. and have never had luck. they're always unclickable.

today. there was one date--the 5th of january (this monday) that was clickable. i submitted for 4 tickets--and they only had 2 available.

I AM CONFIRMED FOR 2 TICKETS TO THE DAILY SHOW WITH JON STEWART FOR MONDAY'S SHOW--WHICH FEATURES DAVID GREGORY, THE NEW MODERATOR OF MEET THE PRESS.

on tuesday--i can die nearly at peace--though i hope i don't.

my life is complete. SO VERY complete. jon--my love--i am coming to watch you. live. i'm hella stoked right now.
