that said, my birthday is fast approaching and abram is visiting! yay! it's a nice little pseudo-tradition. we've spent our birthdays together a few times (his is the 11th--mine the 15th). it'll be loads of fun. i'm so excited to finally have a guest/friend come out when i'm more settled here in my new surroundings! my antonio came out when i just moved out and was living with crazy old pothead lady and i felt bad for not knowing more! so this time--should be much smoother! i know my way around, i know good places to visit, eat, hang out, etc. and i'm feeling much more social these days. work has settled down somewhat and i'm just more centered these days. cause...

just came back from shabu with joy and a few of her socialworker friends. it was a good meal. i wish i hadn't had such a late lunch--i'd have been wanting it more.

i feel like there was something else i was going to blog about--but i can't remember. oh well.

start of a new goal cycle--all over again--big, fat, zeroes across the board. i hate that. but--i should get my variable compensation next wednesday for 2 goal cycles. exciting--but i'm pretty darn sure i will lose half of it to taxes. not so yay.
